ABOUT THE CAPTAIN

Capt Art Martin


Captain Art Martin has over 35 years of experience fishing on Lake Champlain, Lake Michigan, and Lake Ontario. He has been a Charter Captain for 17 years and has been doing it full time since 1993.

He is married and father of 3. His first mate on the boat and at home is "Judy", who enjoys fishing as much as he does. She also knows how to operate all the electronics on board and loves explaining it to the customers . Other first mates are Leroy Hurlbut who owns and operates Lakeview Cabins on Lake Ontario, Dick Cassavoy old time fisherman and friend, and Don Lacharite, uncle, friend and mentor of the captain.

Arts hobbies include, fishing steelhead in the rivers, ice fishing, deer hunting, and carpentry work. Once the rods are put away in late Sept, he heads to the woods of Vermont with his archery equipment. From there he heads to the big woods of Maine with rifle and muzzleloader.

Whatever he does, he tries to do his best and that includes trying to give his clients a trip that they will enjoy and remember for a long time.
